Gov. Hochul has been criticized for her recent State of the State address, with Assemblyman Lemondes expressing strong disapproval of her remarks. Lemondes argued that the governor's statements do not align with the realities faced by New Yorkers.

"Gov. Hochul has once again shown her cards and proven how out of touch this current administration is," Lemondes stated. He highlighted issues such as safety on public transport and energy consumption choices as areas where he believes the administration is failing.

"We’re told we live in the safest New York ever while people are being burned alive on the subway," he continued, emphasizing his concern over public safety claims made by Gov. Hochul.

Additionally, Lemondes criticized the governor's stance on energy policy: "We’re told our state champions equality and choice, yet the governor wants to limit our options for energy consumption."

He concluded his statement by urging Gov. Hochul to focus on addressing everyday challenges faced by residents: "It’s time to come back to reality. Gov. Hochul needs to take a break from her grocery shopping stunts and address the issues that New Yorkers are facing on a daily basis."
