Livingston County issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.
Bryan Mentry and Dawn Pascoe, two crisis mental health counselors with Livingston County Mobile Mental Health, a program of the Community Services Unit of Rochester Psychiatric Center, were recently nominated for the New York State Office of Mental Health’s 2020 What’s Great in Our State Lifetime Award. They are being recognized for their 20 years of dedication and teamwork. The pair helps youth up to age 18 in crisis and provides support to families to help find solutions that are most effective for individual situations.
A virtual award ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 1:00PM.
Mr. Mentry and Ms. Pascoe are also members of the Livingston County Suicide Prevention Task Force. Lynne Mignemi, chairperson of the task force, stated, "Anyone in Livingston County who works with Bryan Mentry and Dawn Pascoe has nothing but respect for them. Their compassion and passion for youth and crisis counseling is unmatched. They are an invaluable resource for so many agencies in Livingston County – schools, Department of Social Services, law enforcement, and medical and mental health agencies. The list goes on. They are understated, humble, and always there for our staffs when we have youth and families in crisis. They are so deserving of this lifetime achievement recognition.”
