Assemblyman John Lemondes (R,C-LaFayette) has successfully secured bullet aid funding for several libraries in Onondaga and Cayuga counties, including Baldwinsville Public Library, Elbridge Free Library, and Port Byron Library. Bullet aid is targeted state funding that supports public schools and libraries. This funding will enable these libraries to provide new resources for the community.
Baldwinsville Public Library plans to use the funds to install electric charging stations for patrons. Lemondes expressed pride in securing this funding and affirmed his commitment to ensuring local libraries receive necessary support.
"Public libraries are a vital part of a vibrant community, and this funding will help give them the tools and resources they need to thrive," said Lemondes. "When libraries are fully funded, they’re able to properly address the needs of residents. This aid is already at work helping to pave the way for more accessibility to green energy alternatives through the installation of electric charging stations at Baldwinsville Public Library. This funding will go a long way in uplifting the community and supporting students as they continue to read and learn."
