Senator Helming recently presented a New York State Senate Commendation Award to Richard Crowley of Victor, NY, at the 2024 Shootout for Soldiers Tournament.
Crowley is a United States Navy veteran who served for 26 years and has been a volunteer at the Canandaigua Shootout for Soldiers Tournament for nine years. During his time as a volunteer, he has personally fundraised approximately $20,000 for the tournament.
Senator Helming stated, "I am proud to honor Rich for his incredible military service and for his commitment to giving back to his fellow veterans. He is an inspiration to others, and it was a true honor to present him with a New York State Senate Commendation Award."
The New York State Senate Commendation Award recognizes individuals who perform remarkable work in their community through lasting volunteer and community service efforts.
